many people don't know why this public festival is so public.
before I come to munich, I also thought they just sitting around drinking beer until they are drunk, or trying some attractions like you can see everywhere else like on better christmas markets or so on.
but since im here I know why so many people all over the world comes here.
Its because of two things.
one its this is party for the party. most other big festivals all around the world are related to music, but the Wiesn (Oktoberfest) ist just a party related to party, just to have fun. music doesn't matter, also only germans know the music is about.
and second point is because of tradition, you can get see fell whatever many german traditions (ok mostly bavarian ) like the beer, like the attractions, like all the food, and of course the traditional clothes.
You can visit every city, watch and read about german culture, but coming there is something getting into it. and thats make it different. and unique.

as the name suggest, its the only tent where they serve oxen

allways a good idea after some beer, but only if your girl friend will also eat one ;)

Oktoberfest impressions Part I

first pictures from Oktoberfest at Munich,
in Munich its called Wiesn because its located at the Theresienwiese and Wiesn is just shorter.
this year there where 6.5 Mio visitors from all over the world and they drunk 7.5 litres of beer (thats a new record)
